Far from the Madding Crowd: More East Coast Bass

#1 Post by uvox »

who: me, diego
tide: turning, ebbing
baits: rag, mack, hermit
rigs: the usual no-nonsense stuff
results: dogfish, whiting, bass

pleasant evening fishing - first bass at dusk, gave a hell of a bang on the rod as one would be having a pee, nice 40 cm fish. second a few hours later, about 35 cm. we missed another one - huge big bite, but missed. all on rag.

got aboout six dogfish - rag again. seemed to be out in force.

we paid the perfunctory beach tax of a couple of small whiting too.

great to get out and get a few fish. nice evening too, very warm.

not a thing on the hermit crab. stuff stinks. must keep a bag of it handy when people come banging on my door looking for votes in the next few weeks...

Good fishing, well done.

Surprising that the dogfish didn't go for the mack in preference to rag.

thanks. we laid off the mack just in case the dogs went completely mad! it was enough to have them guzzling the rag.
