People: myself and nthclare

Duration: 9.30-1.00am

Tide: high round 1

Weather: one or 2 heavy showers but wind being the main problem

Bait: lug lug lug

Rigs: pulley for myself

Results: one bass ~ 3lb

Report: hadnt been out for bass in a while so the time had come - ended up digging lug for far too long - must have had enough for 3 sessions

tried to access the north of this beach but - a new security no entry sign was on the gate

so moved more towards the centre of it from another access point - seemed like the breakers were starting a km out - 10 and 12 waves - breaking all directions

was a bit rough 5oz was struggling to hold - was surpised that no flats turned up all the same

after about 2.5 hrs and the usual we are sick in the head debate starting - nthclares rod tip moved with a def bite action - this was def not the ebb and flow of the surging seas

had a nice fight out of it and of course the weed was on the leader knot so a few seconds of potential loss in the suds while that was cleaned off - and in it came

was delighted one of us had something to show for it

lot to be said for bombing out balls of lug

heres a bad picture!

Well done on the bass - nice :P
At least one of you had a successful night, sorry you didn't catch one yourself - keep at it - big juicy lug baits should attract a few.

Fished this beach last Tuesday, 5- 7.30 pm on a rising tide. It looked fishy and despite having good lug, frozen sandeeels, crab n razor, I didnt get a bite.........maybe it was me!!!!!!
