People: Me
Duration: before 9am till just before 12pm
Tide: 08:42 (1.0m) 15:21 (4.2m)
Weather: NW wind turning stronger creating a 1 foot surf left to right. Misting turning to rain at times.
Bait: Frozen Mack and squid
Rigs:3/0 and 2/0; 1/0 and 2/0 penel clip downs. Ledgers at the end
Results: 3lb 14oz thornback
Report: A 50 km wind forecast from the west so I hoped this mark would shelter me and the ray but the wind was northerly enough to blow across me left to right making casting difficult. A bit choppy here which is usually not good for ray and I could see the open estuary had white horses. Very little crab action to start with until the tide started running and no bites until I pulled in the ray around 12:15 very late in the day on penel clip down mack/squid. I had a ledger on one rod for conger and I was just about to switch both rods over. If I'd realised it would be this choppy I would of hit the trailer park mark for conger as would of been silted up and I could of fished from the car. Happy enough not to blank with the conditions.

that mark is just not producing this year at all...
gona try and fish a lot of different marks this summer instead of the usual 3 or 4..
you should try your usual favourite mark again...youve abandoned it lately!!

Would of fished there Monday but would of been blown out of it. I mainly fish there after work as it's easy access but I've been to busy for mid-week sessions. It only produces ray for me from now on anyhow.gearoid mc s. wrote:that mark is just not producing this year at all...
