Me + lug = Bass ?

#1 Post by stevo74 »

Hi all,
Gonna have another stab at catching a Bass this weekend b4 the month ban comes. Conditions wud seem to perfect for next Saturday. New moon, rising tide, high at dusk.
Now I know you guys don't like giving away marks but wud appreciate any advice on locations, roughly ? I thinking south Wicklow but could possibly go around to North Wexford.
I'm getting desperate here now ,as I so want to catch one of those silver beauties.......

anyway apprec any info

i was told a few weeks ago that most people still searching for their first Bass were probably not fishing the right areas OR were probably casting past where the fish were.

the spot i usually try for them has produced them in the last few weeks so i thought about this and caught my first Bass last week with a gentle lob out.

Agree'd though ive only been fishing for Bass twice but from the advice i have been given alot of guys swear that you only need to cast upto 50yrds, but some have said that having one rod with something like razor and lug on a pennel at distance can sometimes pick up somthing larger  most of all do your homework and it will PAY dividends!!!
