Re: match rods?
Hi there,
i don't fish comps myself anymore but if i was i'd be happy out with the conoflex source. The bite detection is unreal the only downside is that it is a tad heavy in comparison to the modern zippys but other than that its the bizz and they can be got at a far less price than on the official conoflex website from a company in england.
From what i can gather conoflex are trying to make it more price competitive.I also had a few casts last week with my friends pz match[the brown one] and loads of power in reserve ,despite been quiet tippy and the bite detection is well lets just say i was extremely impressed.
Enjoy the research

Re: match rods?
Found to be a little havy compared to similar rods, ut ist very low diamater and is a cracking rod. The Brown PZ Match, have to agree there, i dont use mine that often but its a smashing match tip on it, great bite detection and has a few yards in it when you need them.

Re: match rods?
one rod
i have three or four for matches depending on the weather /target species if you want bite detection for close to middle distance go for a grauvell heavy spin sensitip 12 or 13 foot will cast 3 oz and bait and will show the smallest of plucks anything after that and your getting into the heavy rods
and big hairy leads

Re: match rods?
I use the primo match great for in close and mid ranges fantastic bite detection on it. if i need to get out a bit further i use a century BB this rod casts with incredible ease and the bite detection is great also.
Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler
