Killiney beach 29/3/09

#1 Post by bigsod »

People:tonyfella and myself

Duration:7 till half ten

Tide:arrived at around low water

Weather:dry, light breaze

Bait:sandeel lug rag mack and tonys disco ball

Rigs:3 Hook clipped and 1 hook size 6 close in

Results:Tony 3 dogs, 3 whiting ,Me 5 dogs 4 whiting and a flounder

Report:
After spending the guts of 2 days watching boycie catch every species under the sun and us blanking we decided to go to killiney in search of doggies.Things were looking bad with no fish for the first two hours and we were about to pack up and go home. Then tony attached four little chemical lights to the wires on his gripper more out bordem than anything else and cast out.It was one of the funniest things i have ever seen and i realy thought tony had lost the plot.Imagine my surprise when he reeled in a doggie on the hook nearest the lead.I think all but 2 of his fish were on the hook nearest the luminous lead. After that the doggies started to play ball and i managed to pick up a double along with a few singles.I had a spinning rod cast out about 10 yards and this accounted for the flounder and 2 of the whiting, put sandeel on in hope of a doggie in close on the spinning rod but no joy.Had a good laugh and was glad to get a few fish after blanking on sat and sunday morning.Id say people looking out the window of the dart were wondering what was flying through the sky every time tony cast out, any ufo sightings reported?
