Weather:nice sunny day with a strong west wind cold when the sun went down

Rigs:Various

Results:1 thornback ray 1 dog fish

Report:great to catch my first fish of 2009 ,first fish since 18 October 2008
was a nice day but a bit cold, water was very clear and little weed floating around

went to my favourite sandy mark fished for about 1 hour here and had no bite then decided to move about 500m to a weedy spot to see if any movement there
after about 1hr30 mins the rod started to bend and i finely had a fish on the tip tornado i bought before Christmas, had to wait 3 months to feel a fish on this rod, very happy with it
i was surprised to get a ray in so much weed,i fished here until about 19.00 then moved back to the sandy spot, fished here until 20.30 got the dog fish just before i packed up and headed home

both fish were caught on the frozen Squid
great to be back catching again :D :D

Mighty stuff, well done.
A bad days fishing is better than a good day at work.
