Re: Record Breaking Stingray 55 stone
He will definitely not get a rod and line record for that. It took 13 of them to get it up.
Once someone else touches rod, record is null and void.

Re: Record Breaking Stingray 55 stone
I think you read it wrong. it took 13 of them to lift the fish out of the water. it wasnt a case of 13 grow men holding onto one rod trying to play the fish

Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler

Re: Record Breaking Stingray 55 stone
Another thing it said was he had to pull line
Record is null and void if you use line to pull in fish
1. Handlining or using a handline or rope attached in any manner to the angler's line or leader for the purpose of holding or lifting the fish.

from what i read it sounds like he just grabbed the main line and pulled to dislodge the fish from the bottom, no other line/rope attached to the mainline/leader other than the rod/reel and fish!!

Re: Record Breaking Stingray 55 stone
Apparently he was on a fishing show the weekend but not too sure which one. My daughter was watching some fishing shows Saturday morning and was able to tell me all about it although she did seem more intrigued by a rat fish she saw being caught on the same show.
Anyone see it? I tried youtube but they only have pictures, no actual footage.
