thankfully we don't have scientists harrassing our angling,
they are far wiser, god bless them as they sit and dine.
the more fruitbars trying it on the better for us.
i reckon we are well able for them ranting on in their horse glued
denim and trainers and their mountain/landscaped mined jewellery!
bring it on.
i'm very pro eco and green ect, but HELLO!

my daughter is still laughing at the ki**en thingy!!
it's corrupting her mock exams!
don't get me going.........

i'm thinking of starting a group called p.l.e.t.a.
people (who) love eating tasty animals.
and an offshoot p.l.e.t.a.p.p.a.s.k.
people (who) love eating tasty animals, pond puppies and sea kit*ties

who wants in?
Try again, fail again. Fail better.

At the same time fish can be mistreated. If I take a fish home for the pot I try and kill it as swiftly as possible and with everyone else here, fish I don't intend to keep I try to it get back in the water swimming along as quickly as possible. I even think live baiting is cruel. During the summer theres nothing more disgusting to see someone standing with a pile of gasping mackerel beside them and sometimes only to walk off without them! The first brown trout I ever caught was deep hooked and it wasnt going to make it, So I gave him a sharp belt and he was a goner. I made the point of taing him home and cooking and eating him, It was NOT tasty and I still felt guilty! Ive seen young lads kicking mack and pollock around the pier and wanted to kick them off it!

I dont think C&R or taking a nice fish home for yur tea is cruel but you know what I mean. The majority of anglers generally wrok towards conservation and in creasing fish stocks and keeping their environment clean.

Dressing a Chiwawa in Diamonte collar and putting him in a handbag is crueller!

Agree with you on that one Cormdogg, i think it was sometime last year that someone posted that they arrived on a pier up the country after a group had fished it only to find (i think it was) the remains of pollock after being kicked all over the pier, there is no excuse for behaviour like that.

I am definately going to join up the p.l.e.t.a group, i'm not to fond of pond puppies
