MERCUREY IMPELLIER

hi all

just wondering if any one could help me

i have a 30 hp mercury that not pissing very well in need of a impeller

if any one could point me in the right direction where i could PICK one up maybe some one knows a web site out there

i would appreciate it many thanks

based in swords co.dublin might be able to help.

did you try unblocking tell tail with a piece of 100lb+ mono to see will that do the trick.

hi john hows that done i presume sticking a piece of mono up the inlet

you got it in 1 :wink:

some times you get a salt build up even a bit of grit.
this happend to us last year the grit was causing it to spray like a fine mist out of the tell tail outlet and this can slowdown the amount of water coming out give it a try.
do you normally flush the engine with fresh water :?:

i think you might have hit the nail on the head there john

what happend was out last September and it started dribbling

then it build up pressure and started pissing good

went out late October on a lake noting came out

let it warm up for a wile and it only started dribbling again

going to give that trick a go and ill let you know thanks

Where are you based...? OB MArine in Finglas, Dublin hould be able to get you one without any hassle.

well i tried the mono line with no joy

so took out the tool box wiped out the old impeller headed up to ob marine got a new one

so put it in started her up now pissing like a stallion again
