this fell out of the fishy i got last nite , any ideas what it may be...there was no tentacles , could it be a squid egg by any chance :shock:

it looks like a foot from some kind of shellfish, and have seen a few riddled with worms too which also makes me think it is from some sort of shellfish.. but that's only my theory

i gave a description to an auld time fisherman in youghal this morning and he reckoned it was a type of jellyfish.........mind you he was swigging a tin of tenants at 11am :roll:

It looks like a finger that has been exposed to the sea for a while!!

They found a human head in the stomach of a cod a number of years back.

I would have thought Razor myself. Just a thought, we fished a leg of the Munsters on Youghal a couple of weeks ago and the whole shoreline was absolutely carpeted in (empty) Razor and cockle shells after a good blow. Has something similar occured up there recently by any chance?
