Down river from Waterford City

#1 Post by somedose »

People:
Myself, James Barry and a freind (Connor)
Duration:
5 hours (12am until 5am
Tide:
High Water was about half 4 (I think)
Weather:
Calm and clear at first, turning windy and overcast later (although the moon was shining brightly the whole time we were there)
Bait:
Crab
Rigs:
Myself- Clipped Pennell, 1-up 1-down clipped, James and Connor- 1 hook clipped
Results:
1 cod, 1 flounder, 1 whiting

Report:

Arrived at the mark at midnight after a bit of climbing over a bridge  Connor got the cod after an hour of fishing- he lost what he reckoned was nearly an 8lb cod at the same mark the night before. I got the flounder after about 3 hours an the whiting (36cm) after about 4. James got a great bite but lost the fish in the gully on the retrieve, Disappointing but at least I broke the new rod in with 2 fish
Species 2010 - Cod
