Looking for a good mark - Wicklow to Wexford

#1 Post by Strangefruit »

Hi

Me and a buddy in Arklow are looking for a half decent place to fish over the xmas period, will be fishing for half a day and the night.

We don't mind anywhere from Wicklow to Wexford as long as we don't spend the night scratching our arse's!! :(

Any advice on a few good marks would be appreciated.

Have fished Ennerielly and South Beach, Arklow which are ok spots but fancy a change.

General beach fishing, any advice on bait and rigs would also help greatly

Many thanks :D

judging by the wind direction for the next week most east coast marks should produce ,did you try anywhere around kilmore quay the south beach should have a cracking surf with bass, codling, dab, coalies and flounder ,bait would be lug razor squid and mac ,you,d want to wrap up warm that wind is gonna be bitter, stick up a report to let us know how ya got on where ever you end up and bring a CAMERA  p.s welcome to the site

Cheers for the welcome and info Roger

Decided to do a quick impromptu session last night, ended up back in Ennereilly (North Beach).

Everything looked perfect.... tides, wind, surf

Fished from 4pm to 3am, 5 whiting :( All came within first 4hrs!

Normally fishes better than that.

Heading out again later this week (will have to bribe the wife!), will definatly give Kilmore Quay a try and let you know.
