sligo shore mark

Hi i will be in the sligo area for a few days at christmas and was hoping to sneak in a rod, any good shore marks there for this time of year, I once seen a good looking rocky mark aughris head? is it any good at present

Aughris can be very hit and miss - and fishes poorly in the winter, well for me anyhow...

You might be better trying some of the sheltered bays or if there is a decent surf running, trying to winkle a bass out of strandhill...

try rosses point loads of sea trout at the moment also you can catch flatfish...night time best for whitting
