Weather:nice day cool no rain with light wind from the west

Bait:mackerel, king prawns,limpets

Rigs: various and lures
Results: Blank

the last few times I fished the bay I had no fish so I thought I would try some new marks

tried 2 new marks today, the first was a rock mark on a cliff,very rough water with some weed had a few bites but no fish landed,the second was a beach part sandy part rocky nice waves rolling in but no bites

going to try a different mark every time I fish over the winter months to get a feel of the ground for next year

strange tide on the bay today,saw a v shaped rolling wave at the mouth of the bay going from the white lady to the other side of the bay,outside the water was very choppy inside was very calm,didnt seem to move all day,only day I forgot to bring the camera

Seems like it was pretty tough going all along the west coast this weekend good idea checking out the new marks will pay dividends at some stage looking forward to hitting a few of your marks in the new year and putting a face to the name

Spring tides this weekend, could have been the swell from offshore meeting the big ebb tide from the bay causing a standing wave

unlucky gf - but at least youll have the place scouted - and you could have been blanking away at the spots you know anyway

Seems like it was pretty tough going all along the west coast this weekend good idea checking out the new marks will pay dividends at some stage looking forward to hitting a few of your marks in the new year and putting a face to the name

not great along the west at the moment but it is nice to get out and throw a line in the water,no problem showing you some of the marks i fished looking forward to it

hi Bradan i thought it might be something to do tides,it was on the flood tide i saw this wave,i thought it very strange to see on the flood,think i will blame this wave for blanking on sunday

discovered the baited feathers when i was trying for a few mackerel and then was to lazy to change rigs for bait fishing

best bait i find for thornies is frozen mackerel,if you have any in the fridge take it out and thaw it out and refreeze a few times you will have it ready for the thornies when they move back in

all my bait is refrozen loads of times - could be half my problems
