Report:

had originally planned for a beach in sligo - but given weather rports decided to head to lecanvey as it would keep me on gritted roads

arrived to find another angler ( hi craig) but no sign of any fish.

all quiet until about 2 hrs after high tide, then had a few bites of the end of the pier - (out from the corner of the back wall)
dropped a fish trying to lift it - smallish pollack or coalie i think, on sandeel

had the two doggies fishing in to the harbour both on mack - missed a few more bites and then all went dead again - all the bites and fish came in a spell of about 45 mins - other than that baits were untouched bar the odd crab.

glad i stuck to decent roads - there was about an inch of snow in some areas on the way home, and some serious frost

still better than being stuck in the house

your a hardy man,it was cold this morning, glad you got fish but surprised you got nothing around high tide,normally fishes good at high tide!
