anybody fished the clon/courtmac area recently?arriving on the 11th for a week and just wondered how it is fishing.

Hey,
Haven't fished it myself in far too long but the fishing has been alright by what I've heard. Local Steve had 2 bass and a flounder from the pier 2 nights ago and the estuary has been throwing up bass in respectabl numbers. Regardless of the bass fishing theres always mullet, conger and sea trout to be had too

just returned from clonakilty.
blinkin weed.afraid it beat me!!!
every cast brought in at least 1kg weed.bite detection impossible.
fished ballinglanna bay on 13th and caught 5 lsd's.
fished bar rock .nowt.
fished long strand. nowt.
fished red strand. nowt.
fished ring pier. nowt.
JUST BLINKIN WEED!!!

WHEN DOES IT GO AWAY? :cry: :cry: :oops:
