People:myself and shamoo

Duration:20.00-23.00

Tide: low 21.00

Weather:mild, wind picked up from NW last hour

Bait: mack for me, mark had rag, lug, sandeel and crab

Rigs: 1 hook pat, and 3 hook flapper

Results: mostly small whiting, micro dab, rockling

Report: wanted to try somewhere knew - litterally just crossed the railway line and set up near the back of the platform

whiting were on early - no size

after an hour mark got a rockling - there was also a fair bit of stringy weed about - the crabs were evident in numbers too

think i had about 5 or six whiting - annoying buggers the way they dont go back at times

mark probably had about 15-20 - on the last cast pulled in a dab probably 10cm or less

ive dropped to size 2s for the scratching out this side - but size 6s is desparation stuff

generally just getting tired of the whiting plague

what about a coalie to break it up - or god forbid a codling

3 hours was enough of it - but would like to try again over high water
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Next time try to walk north towards Greystone; on Saturday I got some small bass and coalie. It supposed to be a good spot for codling.
