Hi all,
just looking for a few opinions on what the most user friendly with good bite detection zziplex rod would be and the rod would be used on clean ground 99% of the time.Just looking to see what the general thoughts are.
Tight lines.

Re: zziplex rods query
the zziplex hsm is way up in power in relation to the profile standard or
match, another rod worth looking at is the conoflex frenzy, and source
estuary match, both excellent clean ground rods. alot cheaper as well.

Re: zziplex rods query
i'd be with dbrock on this one.. the profile, a truely excellent rod, i know the match is a bit tippier where as the standard (the one i have) is still tippy compared to other zippy's, and for that 1% where its not used on clean beach it will handle most terrain you throw at it..
they are a dream to cast with 4oz and will handle 5oz no problem.. and have been reliably told that you can even cast a 7oz with one (standard profile)

Re: zziplex rods query
im using the primo match at the moment for my clean/mixed ground fishing and i must say its a great rod very easy to cast has a lovely action for just flicking it out or whipping out it has great bite detection as well. there is a good bit of power in it as well so it will handle smoothies and ray no problem and the sensitive tip means when your scratching for dabs or smaller prey you wont miss a bite i cast mine with a 5oz and honestly i cant fault the rod
Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler

Re: zziplex rods query
Hi lads,
cheers for the replies, just wondering about the primo match. The length is 13.5ft i think is it a 7.5ft tip section as some descriptions say its 8ft and this unfortunately would make it a bit awkward to transport in my little mobeel. Is it a light rod or does it have a thick butt?Any feedback on what the new centiury ttld is like.I know theres a post on it at the moment but no real feedback regarding the overall feel and action of the rod apart from lumpys description which sounds excellant and might be an option ,erics description of the source est match is also enticing but another silly question regarding the source is it capable of handling 5ozs comfortably, over to you eric.
Thanks for feedback
