I was wondering is it possible to still fish for bass with plugs and lures in the winter months???

It gets a lot harder from now on. Fishing topwater lures isn't very productive at the moment. Fish deep, or even along the bottom with sinking or diving lures. The South coast should throw up the odd fish well into winter.

I was told its almost impossible to catch with lures now thought all my maria chases would be consined to the tackle drawer for a few months also is it better to use mono oir braid for plugging??

i certainly prefer braid , makes for superb feel and better lure
movement , puts you in direct contact with the lure.

That sounds great had a brilliant spot for bass but they seemed to have disappeared :( :(
Hopefully they will return before long they stay near because of a power station but its illegal to fish near it :( :(
