Sorry on late report my pc was dead. This was my first time to use rag as bait as my only fishing to date was trying to catch a bass on lures no joy
my first cast was a wrasse well i foul hooked him still counts. caught 2 more nice wrasse after that then i lost my two rigs. I threw out a single hook float and set up my other rod for a bit of spinning. while i was spinning away i forgot about my float ,about 10min later i looked over to were my float was i could not see it, all i seen was a bend in the rod I dropped my new mike ladle rod on the rocks 
and ran to my float rod when i picked it up i thought i was snagged as i had already lost 2 rigs this way then i felt a thump on the rod i reeled in a 40cm pollock well i think it is. I have lost big fish here before on lures so im delighted to get this one. I had a great day and i was glad to catch some wrasse dont know what kind they are but they are realy a beautiful looking fish. I have a lot to learn like Rag do bite, dont drop your new rod on the rocks, and keep your eye on the float i have few phots will post them later trying to work out how to post them
