its just one thing i dont know that much about. i've been usin pink, orange, multi coloured and lumo ones.

have a look at floating beads. handy for many species in general or fishing pop up baits for mackeral, pollack etc.

A good set of Rosary beads comes in handy on some sessions !

I used to use beads years ago doing the competitions, if my memory serves me right I think orange stood out to be the best for the flats.

I normally don't use beads myself but I've been experimenting with floating beads recently to pop up baits like m.b3 suggests and have had some success with them, definitely worth a shot.

I DONT THINK THE COLOUR MATTERS THAT MUCH JUST FOR THE FLAT FISH THE IDEA IS TO ATTRACT THE FLATS OVER SO ANYTHING THAT IS GOING TO CATCH THEIR EYE WILL WORK YOU CAN TRY PUTTING ATTRACTOR DISK'S BETWEEN THE BEADS ALSO. ON THE OTHER HAND IF YOU GET THOSE BEADS THAT GLOW IN THE DARK PUT THEM ON YOUR TRACE JUST ABOVE THE HOOK AND SHINE YOUR HEAD LAMP ON THEM FOR AROUND 2 MINUTES BEFORE CASTING IT CAN WORK WELL FOR WHITING AND COALIES.

luminous floaties are a good alrounder. floating beads to pop up baits for mackeral, pollack around piers headlands or beaches with larger ones used when fishing for bass with rag in clear estuaries or above cod baits when fishing over kelp with little or no tide. fish the rod high in the stand and dont cast too far or the rig will lie flat. strings of beads with the addition of sequins or flashing blades have occassionally worked for flounder in estuaries and plaice on the open shore when identical rigs without beads did not take any or near as many fish. this is what has worked for me others will differ. beads do put fish off sometimes too. lots plastic beads can kill the movement of the bait...

i normally use orange, luminus, pink and green.

in the last 3 sessions i have found that pink and white, green and yellow and yellow and white are working well for pollack, pouting and whiting.
