Bonfils Creek, Ross, West Clare 16/08/2008

#1 Post by Ross »

People: Ross, Wrassetafarian and Emmet

Duration: 5 hrs.

Tide: LW to almost HW

Weather: SW strong, big swell but sheltered and safe where we were.

Bait: Floatfished crab

Rigs: one 3/0 hook at 12 ft.

Results:

Ross - Blanked!

Emmet - 1 Ballan Wrasse 2 lbs.

Wrassetafarian (son of Ross)
1 small Ballan Wrasse
1 at 4 lbs. 5ozs.
1 specimen at 5 lbs. 8 ozs.

Must be the dreadlocks!

Report:

Found shelter behind a big reef out of the swell.
The wind and tide were moving the float around quite a lot making fishing difficult so a big float was necessary. All fish were returned alive.
