People:me

Duration:3 sessions

Tide:up and down

Weather:lovely

Bait:lures , sandeel, peeler, fresh mack

Rigs:various

Results:26 pollack ,2 coalfish, 1 bass, 12mackerel

Report:based in glengarriff for a week , couldnt wait to get fishing, first session on sunday evening at zetland pier, arrived and no one else fishing :D tried various lures to no effect , switched to sandeel spun close to the bottom ,very dodgy as very rough ground, 2 pollack straight away, very pleased til 6 young lads arrived armed with handlines, telescopic rods and feathers, had to leave shortly afterwards after untying numerous tangles, at one stage was 3 sets of feathers wrapped around my line
session 2, alot further west, lovely lookin rock mark, set up with spun sandeel again, great fishing 2 coalies, 7 pollack, 1 small schoolie, bad news then, car broke down with wife in it just outside castletown, alternator had gone  i had a session lined up with the scotsman for wed night didnt get the car back til thursday , sorry scotsman , def another time ,forgot the camera again
session 3 dursey pier, arrived at the top of the tide , local info soon saw me off to a pollack mark :) tried all my lures ,no joy, sandeel again straight into pollack and mackerel, caught 12 macks and7 pollack to 2lbs,change of tactics ,arm was wrecked from all the spinning, kept 2 macks for bait ,set up the beachcaster, 1 hook clipped 3 0 aberdeen, half a mack fillet wrapped around big peeler, into much bigger pollack up to 5 lbs, had 8 nice pollack in two hours , excellent session was chuffed til i realised was time to go   really had a ball and will be headin back soon
