Only you and your own style of cast can find that out . Wheter or not the rod suits your own style ? If your doin 240 yards you should be able to find out the rods limits prety easily .

240 yards is a big chuck, is that lead only?

The ZTI won't pose you any problems at all but it's not a given that you'll gain yards just with the rod.

Do you cast alot? Where are you based we have a casting club too.

Cheers.

ZTi is capable of very big distances as long as you have the technique to get the most from it.

Like a lot of rods it is more the person casting it than the rod itself. :D

Here is some footage of the ZTI with 175 & 125 Grams

Very well put Jeremy!! :D Great clip as always, many thanks. Are ye back home yet?

DK you're more than welcome to attend any meet, at present it's once a month but hopefully some good news pending that will change. Keep checking here for details etc..

PaddyC is the man for the reels 136 at last count, check out a few at a meet and see what you like, loads on ebay and here at times too.

God help us is you get a fast reel and and .31 line, the court might not be long enough!! :D

Steve ,

The stepping has only allowed me to time my hit a bit better and get better sinker position as i am allowing the lead to get up to the right hight and step outside of the tip as i commence my turn.

Overall distances are slowly coming up and after what i learnt from my trip to the UK , Belgium and the USA i hope to improve on that a bit more.

I am still in the states and have just got back from Cabela's tackle and sporting store where I picked up another toy that may turn into a comp reel.
