People: me

Duration: 8pm-11pm

Tide: LT around 8pm

Weather:mild s.w.

Bait:lug

Rigs:ledger

Results: 3 dogs and a bass

Report:

Tried Clonea on saturday night, conditions fairly mild but a bit of a surf nonetheless. Very slow to start but started getting dogs around 9 which kept things interesting. Thought I had dog no. 4 around 10 but ...a bass!
About 2lb, they dont put up a great fight at this size but nice to get one all the same.

Out again last night (sunday) to a more exposed west waterford beach.
Great nights fishing.
A plaice (I think) followed by a PB flounder for me (46cm) which was a monster compared to any flounder I caught before. Then a dog and 3 bass (all around 2lbs) at dusk.

That might be a flounder - I have got a few of them with orange spots like that.

How was the weed on those beaches?
It is a killer on the East Cork beaches at the moment.

Clonea is fairly clean but there is weed at the end futhest east.
Much better than last weekend though.
