Looking for Seagull

#1 Post by winebing »

Hi, Newbie here, hoping to launch newly acquired Arran 16 Doolin, Liscannor etc soon. But need a Seagull 5 horse as Aux. Anyone have one for sale or know of one?

Try an antique shop perhaps? :P
Its called fishing, not catching. If it was called catching it wouldn't be fishing!

I got an old Seagull with my last boat and i need to clean it up and get it running. They are still considered to be bullet proof as there is so little to go wrong. There is a guy in UK who specialises in restoring and providing spare parts and advice for Seagulls. He also sells them.

I will be keeping mine so good luck with your search.

I have an old 6hp yamaha long shaft used only in fresh water if your interested. Its old but running very well and I will let it go very cheap if your interested. It would be good as an auxillary.

Thanks for that, but gave up the seagull quest and got a 3.5hp tohatsu. Nice and light - 13.5 kg and will hopefully never be used!

The Tohatsu's also have an excellent reputation.... good Choice.
