Report:
Got out a few times over the last week but hadnt got a spare minute with access to a computer.
Last thursday went out into Dungarvan bay at low tide, water was fairly manky around the oyster beds with lots of bits of weed floating about. It was a bit cleaner around the main channel, tried a few casts but got nothing. :( :(
Tried the slip at high tide and water was filthy but there were a few bass jumping, got one of about 2lbs before I got fed up with the weed.
Friday was very calm so I went to an exposed rock mark, there was a bit of sand there with nice water movement so chucked out a couple of lug.
Got a nice lad of about 5.5lbs just before I had to pack up after about 90mins

Saturday was a washout, went to clonea for a look but it was full of weed. Tried clonea for an hour on sunday but at that stage wind was coming from the northwest  and there was a poor surf

Tried clonea for an hour yesterday around 6pm.
The south easterly was creating a nice surf but there was still a fair amount of weed about.
Got 2 bass of 2-3lbs on first two casts but then nothing for an hour so called it a day.

Well done Figs.

Hopefully when the strong winds die down the weed will disappear. Last year was a washout for me as regards bass fishing and I am hoping that it will be better this year...... or else I'll take up golf!!
