Fishing spots in galway

Hey all

just new to beach fishing , Plenty of experience on boat fishing and pier fishing in mayo . kinda got fed up of getting stepped on at the peir in galway . i tried salthill and barna a couple of nights caught nothing but crab and seaweed dying to catch any fish other than pollack and mackeral freezer is full . any tips would be greatly appreciated
