Bait: Fresh mack and peeler

Rigs: Feathers and running ledgers

Results: 4 macks, 2 dogs and a pin whiting

Report: Got talked into taking my son fishing in my little boat. Decided to launch from Killiney beach and fish over rough ground for smuts. Featherd up 4 macks within ten minutes, moved over the rough ground, and dropped running ledgers down, mack bait for my son and peeler for me. He started getting bites straight away, and was soon into his first doggie. I was getting bites on the crab baits, but nothing I could connect with. I stuck it out for the rest of the session, only managing to get a poxy pin whiting.

I am beginning to think taking my boys fishing is a bad idea, they always get fish and I end up with either a blank, or a very poor excuse for a fish :)
