About to take my 4hp Johnson out of storage after 15 years.. unfortunately I can recall it was put away with fuel in it
No doubt I will need carburettor parts or heaven forbid a new carb.Any tips where I could get secondhand parts?

The old petrol in the tank and carburettor will be dead by now. Petrol is only supposed to last a few months.bbjunkie wrote:Hi

You might try washing it out with unleaded first to see if it will start.
If you are on East Coast try calling Cyril at [url=http://www.greenhobbymodel.com/greenemarine/]Greene Marine[/url], Harolds Cross, Dublin. He has been a Johnson Outboard Dealer for a long time and is good on parts. I expect he would have the older carb parts for that model.
In the south your best bet would be Marine Motors in Cork, also very good for parts.
In Galway there is a boat place called Davidsons in Loughrea, but I don't have any experience there I just know their name for in case I have problems on holidays.
