myself & another

time: 2:30pm- 8pm ( high @ 4:20  )

weather: varied, hot, mild-windy, windy

bait: mack,squid,sandeel

rigs: 2 hook flap( size 4, varied )

result, 2 bullheads? c pic, 8 pollock

headed out to the pier, determined not to make this my 3 blank in a row! set out a size 4 2 hook flapper, in close, and a size 1/0, 3/0 at distance. had both ?bullheads? on mack on the size four soon enough. they were both SMALL, but didn't blank. there was a guy there when i arrived, floating lugs, he got a few small wrasse. he left after a while, and not to long after a few eastern euros show'd up, floating prawns. they'd cast out wait 10-20seconds, strike repeatedly, cast out again and repeated. they gave up after 20min, disgusted with the lack of fish? a local guy i know should up, floating lugs. noting for awhile, then he got a small pollock. nice to see em show'n up. not long after i had one at distance on mack, bout an lb, did what i could but he was hooked deep, so knocked him on the head, glad i did, was a bit of a job getting the hook out even then, bagged that one. had another one, small, on the size 4. keep bait at distance, but switched to feathers on the other rod, got another 6-7 small pollock. missed one or two decent bites at distance after the pollock had moved on, brought one spider crab to surface, but lost him. the other guy got 3-4 small wrasse l8r on. not a bad day all in all..
