Report: As I had the day off I decided to use up my leftover bait in Bray Harbour. It was deserted when I arrived and I wondered did everyone else know something that I didnt

. A voice in my head was shouting,,, "THE EAST WIND KILLS THE FISHING".,,,, BUT I got a shore rockling on my first cast, happy days

,,, yes I can get excited by a shore rockling

. The next 2 hours were fruitless and I was about to go home when I had ,,,,,,yes,,, 1 last cast

. I felt a rattle on the rod and I reeled in a whiting. At this stage there were other anglers there, with nobody catching anything, so I was feeling well chuffed

. This encouraged me to stay longer and a little later I reeled in a huge clump of weed

. Luckily there was another whiting hidden in the weed

. As a crowd of tourists watched my casting abilities I had a big crack off

and pretended that it was an Irish custom that you had to make an offering to the sea god if you caught a fish

. I left (minus a lead and rig) for home at 5'30pm.
