just after purchasing a diawa slosh 30 any info on what line to us with it for casting :?:

SL30 = 30lbs
SL20 = 20lbs

Easy as that. You don't have to stick to that but its the general guideline. Going for to small a diameter will lead you open to nesting.

usin some version of penn 25lb on slash 30,have had no probs, powerfull real. grand to cast. put up with savage abuse. they'r bit bulky if your used to 6500's or anything but two or three casts. enjoy oh ya, the spool when fully loaded is a bit fast,it needs to be slowed down either with greasy bearings or something

found that out the hard way didn't relies you had to put the breaks in yourself i have 20lbs diawa tournament on it but some how it just dosent feel right may be a extra 5lbs braking strain will help.

Shane if you tighten the spool too it will help tame the reel somewhat. Roundy nob on right hand side of the reel, don't over tighten though.

i have 20lb line on my Slosh 30 and have no problems casting have both the break blocks in also

ya the casting is getting a lot better i think it was just getting use to the reel
