Just over a year ago I was a real novice sea-angler and knew very little about anything to be honest - apart from spinning for pollack.
Tonight I am looking proudly at some of the rigs I made today - all sorts or wee gismos and gadgets on them (rotten bottom links, bait clips, etc.) Rigs for different types of ground and different conditions - quite chuffed with myself!
A year ago I wouldn't have had a clue what they were or what they were used for. I have already lengthened my "species" list too, which will hopefully keep growing over the summer.Probably sounds stupid to you fellas but believe me my angling has come on leaps and bounds because of this website!
I go fishing with two other fellas (and me Da the odd time) - they are all still at the stage I was at last year and laugh at me now when they see all these contraptions I pull from my tackle box! Ha ha ha - I'll have the last laugh this summer boys!
So cheers everyone for all the advice, opinions and knowledge you all share on here. The website really is a goldmine of angling information - I'd be lost without it!
