Shannon Area

#1 Post by marshpike »

Okay this is the situation, I'm from County Down and have to work in the industrial estate at Shannon airport next week (mon - fri), I'll be finishing up around 5pm each evening and was woundering is it worth me bringing my gear with me, I haven't got a clue about the area but I wouldn't think twice of driving an hour to a venue, after all what else am I going to do.

I'm a skate and huss virgin and would give my right arm for either but I know its a bit early, has anyone got an ideas or should I leave the gear at home.

http://www.chillwithbill.com - Bill Ryan knows the area well and would give you a few pointers, you should probably look at Poulnasherry Bay for the rays and huss - do a search on the forums and you will get an idea of the land

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
