Draining a carburettor

Lads,

I am trying to straighten out my probs with my Mariner 55 . Has anyone ever got water in their carburettor, what were the symptoms and how easy was it to drain?

You have an external filter set up on that boat Oisin so you shouldn't have got water in the Carburettor.....

thats what I thought.....just cant get this engine going at all...just wont fire up...I know its only something small cause when Ive had her going she runs fine

Maybe the float bowls have crystallized fuel in if it's being sat over winter, common problem at this time of year, a strip down and clean out of the carbs
may be the answer
