#1 Post by winter36 »

hi folks, i got a little honda engine, really robust when she works, but sometimes i just cannot get her started. Any advice on cold starting, she is a manual pull, would really love to master this as times i just give up and dont go out, yet other times she starts after a few tugs.
or if anyone is near carrick, come show me how eas it can be.........lol
Anyone at all who knows anything..please

Have you tried changing the plug on it? Failing that, emptying half a can of wd40 into it is the sum total of my knowledge......... :D

Hi

Not my area but here's a funny one...

Release the cap for the petrol really well to allow air in easily - near exhausted myself with a 5 hp Honda, then remembered to release the cap - engine was sucking on a vacuum - no wonder it didn't start!

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
