its not far from Galway city
there is more night life in Galway city that the closer town of Clifden :D

my little synopsis:

a north westerly facing beach which has a shallow beach (plenty of exercise for the east coast lads). as we'll be fishing over the low tide wellies/waders will be needed for those that pick higher numbers as there is a stream running down the beach around peg 8 (depending on who pegs it) and no need to bring hiking equipment (unless i got the tides wrong)

fish: mostly flatties (flounder and turbot), the odd dogfish, huss have been caught here as well as thornback ray, and rarer fish include mullet and schoolie bass, but also beware lesser weaver have been known to be caught here too..

See attached - believe venue is where the 'P'arking sign is. Beach used to be sign-posted but have not been there for a number of years.

In Wales that weekend so out
“........if people from Leinster support Munster, it’s actually good as it has separated those who really want to support us from the fickle ones, which means the base is being built on a solid core of support. Nice beach that, well I like it anyhow. Only fished it once, was predominantly flats that day with a small bass taken on the stream. Stream threw up a fair few fish on what was a quiet day when we were there so might be an idea not to peg on there as its an unfair advantage.

Oooppppsss.... it's the one to the west. The other is Little Killary/Glassillaun.
