People: myself
Duration:5 hours
Tide: ebb throughout trip
Weather:like a summers day, no wind, and clear skies
Bait:froz mack, crab, lug
Rigs:shrimp rig, t bar, 2 boom patternoster
Results: 7 species, whiting, lots to 1.5lbs, ling, ballen wrasse, cuckoo wrasse, pollock to 7lbs, LSD, poor cod,
other species on a second boat , grey gurnard, coalfish. pouting.
Report:if i had listned to the forecast would never have set out, but the good old magic seaweed forecast had it spot on again, showing light f1-3 winds from the sw. there was just a small 1m swell offshore making it a wonderful day to be out.
headed out to the ling rocks, and there surrounds, and though the fishing was'nt electric, it was good for january, we were having a species hunt, so did'nt hang around for numbers etc, but there was plenty of nice sized whiting around, and some good sized pollock and coalfish.
Had a few drifts on the bank, but as was warned , it was full of pin whiting.
good dayout in Jan

Nice one. I was standing on the beach on Sunday thinking it'd be great to be out.
Unfortunately that's scuppered me and Pete's plans of a clean sweep on the boat species hunt
Good to hear plenty of fish around anyway.
