murlough bay and torr head

#1 Post by pookie5488 »

Fished them both with good results.

Murlough fished of rocks on the right just past wee white house. Nothing of the bottom but spun sand eel and jelly worms and had 5 pollock best about 5lb very long walk with kit but so next time spin and 1 rod only as april moves in may try float.

Torr Head fished of rocks in front of old radio station to the left very scary rocks and would never try in a high wind or swell. But saying that again bottom the roughest i have every seen so spin only for this mark.
Had 4 more pollock and 1 un named cant find in book or on net. 2 other anglers there on the right of me also got a few long thin body with 2 wisker like things on chin???? got pic will show to lads at next forum meet.
used jellys but 3 fell to sand eel. fished at low tide on to the rise then nothing for hr before so packed up. day light over cast hope that helps
