People:Me

Duration:3.5 hours

Tide:Slack, then falling

Weather:Nice

Bait:Power bait Lug, Frozen Mack

Rigs:Hokkai's

Results:6 Whiting, 3 Dabs, 1 Codling, all returned

Report: Nice evening, arrived at 2100, just before the top of the tide, not much for myself during slack tide, though a fellow from the local club caught a few closer in to the pier. Once the tide started going out, things improved for me with some nice whiting and dabs, the dabs all bigger than a full spread hand, and the whiting around 10-12 inches long. Codling was a little fella of 7 inches. I found that the 3 hook, 4/0 Hokkai's worked better than standard 2 hook rigs for bite detection in the strong current here.
