a nice 40cm coalie was to answer for it..
soon after i noticed nige's rod twitch..
the culprit was a 39cm thornie... a very nice fish considering the time of year..
the nige hooked into a doggie..
i got another 2 coalie around the same size as the first, then the doggies too a fance to my baits, the first caught on the beachcaster and the second to the spinning rod with squid baits.. then later got a massive knock on the spinning rod
time to pack up and felt a nice bit of weight on the zzippy, thankfully the sl20 made life easy and pulled out...

a nice 40cm thornie..
what an end to the year, very much doubt i'll be out again this year so it rounded off the year very nicely.. and it was also fish #607..
