Right Dave I’ll try make this as simple as I can:
1: Locate your chosen picture on your drive. Lets say: My Documents\My Pictures\pollack.jpeg (the picture you want to upload must be smaller than 256kb, we can discuss resizing later if needed)
2: Compose your post.
3: In the “add attachment” box at the end of the page click the “browse” button. Locate the file you want to add ( pollack.jpeg)
When you click open the file will be listed in the browse box.
Click add attachment.
4: Preview and submit post.

resizing
Resizing pictures:
As Art has said there are numerous picture resize sites on line. Myself I use a neat tool from Microsoft:
Powertoys for XP:
powertoys are additional programs that developers work on after a product has been released to manufacturing.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/down ... rtoys.mspx
On the right side of the screen you will see a couple of different applications.
¾ down the page you will see “image resizer” Download this.
After it installs, right click on your photo. You will see a “resize pictures” option. Click on this and you will be given the option to resize. “medium” is perfect for display on a forum (I used medium for the photo above). A new photo will be created in the folder eg: pollack(medium). This can then be attached to your image.
There are some other useful tools here:
There’s a RAW image viewer for the really serious camera buffs.
The Cleartype tuner helps your display
These are all listed for XP.
Jim. :)

If you want that little bit more, try Paint.NET. I've been using it for a while and fint it very good. It has many of the basic features of Photoshop but costs nothing. Download for free here:
http://www.getpaint.net/
(Windows only)
It does resizing, plus a whole lot more.
Alternatively, you could give The GIMP a go.
http://www.gimp.org/
It's available for Windows but is a bit more advanced and not as stable as Paint.NET

i put up a post on how to link photos from your gallery here
http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bull ... 34&start=6
http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bull ... 34&start=6
step 1:
when signed in to your account, click on [url=http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bulletin%20board/album.php]Album[/url] which appears in the top forum menu's..
scroll down until you see
• Users Personal Galleries
• Your Personal Gallery
and click on your personal gallery..
you will see 4 buttons near the top
New Folder, Simple View, Upload Pic, Download..
step 2:click on upload pic..
from there browse your pc for the pic to be uploaded (i usually put the photo on the desktop for easy location)
step3:
this seems to be where people are having trouble...
in your album you will see the uploaded photo, below the photo you will see the text (i used a photo from my album as an example)
Image: Thornback Ray
ID: 2204
Poster: stevecrow74
Posted: Tue Jun 19, 2007 2:13 pm
View: 9
Rating: Not Rated
Comments: Not Commented
Edit Delete Lock Move
Set as Avatar
step 4:now click on the image name.. in my case Thornback Ray and it will bring you into another page with a larger image of the photo..
below the photo you will see the text,(yet again using my photo as example)
Click on image to view larger image
Click here to apply Special Effects
Poster: stevecrow74

Image Details: ID: 2204 - Image Type: JPG - Size: 640 x 480 (392KB)
BBCode: [albumimg ]2204[/albumimg ]

step 5:what you need to do is copy the BBCode text, in this case its, [albumimg ]2204[/albumimg ]
step 6:an easy way to do this is to open a notepad on the desktop and copy the BBCode([albumimg ]2204[ /albumimg]) into the notepad, then when you are sure it is copied over go back to the section of the forum you want to post a picture, post a reply to that particular thread and insert the BBCode [ albumimg]2204[/albumimg ] into the post and you will hpefully have entered the photo into the submitted post..
a bit like this
p.s. please not i have deliberately placed spaces in the BBCode so that you will see the text as opposed to the photo each time..
