Flotation suit

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Flotation suit

I am thinking of getting one - but can not decide if a two-piece or one-piece is best for beach/rock/pier fishing. Anyone with experience?

in my opinion i would prefer the two piece. i have one and am glad i got it! i find the two piece is better as you can take the jacket off if ya get too hot and with a one piece you cant. if the weacher isnt too cold but showery you can wear the bib and brace and bring a light jacket! thats my opinion, hope it helps

Yep, the only floaty i will use is a 2pc as well. Gives you more options if the weather is up and down.

Bought the new Sundridge Mark 5 from Gerry's £69.99. The jacket is not that bulky, and the bib & brace has no flotation material in it so they are fairly light but made from the same material as the jacket so waterproof and windproof.

Seems a really decent piece of kit for the price. Havent tried it yet though so this is just a first impression.

My mate has the Sundridge En Tec, its excellent also.

I also bought the new Sundridge Mark 5 from Gerry's for me da, i agree with what Rocker has said it's nice and light and not bulky. I also bought a Muastad viking from G.A.C and find it extremely warm and does exactly what it says on the tin. Personally i would prefer the mustad as its a little bit warmer and easier to clean as for the Sundridge i could'nt fault it one bit only that i would prefer the hand warmer pockets position on the sundridge than the mustad. You cant go wrong with either of these i.m.o. Oh ya the 2 piece is the only way to go as its easier to manouver around in it and you can wear either - or to suit the conditions.
