Cheekpoint Pier

just a breif note about the Pier in Cheekpoint in Waterford.

Fished 2 hours either side of HW Saturday and Sunday evening with Fresh Lug,Crab and Mackerel. Loads of small codling and whiting ( double and triple shots every cast). Some Flounder on Mackerel further out on the mud bank. This is a very easily accessed mark with plenty of light and space. Fishing slowed at slack water but started again on the drop.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

There is a fairly comprehensive guide to this mark on the shore marks section. Very useful place in bad weather, very sheltered. FWIW...
