ennerilley and wicklow

People:me,boycie,seaniebo,dbrock and croppyboy

Duration:7-3am

Tide:not sure

Weather:cold

Bait:peeler,lug,squid,razor,mack

Rigs:i used a two hook flapper and pennel pulley

Results:smoothhound,whiting,flounder,dab,dogfish,cod,coalie,red crab

Catch and Release:: Yes(kept a few rounds for conger bashing and the crab for eating)

Report:the real man of the day was seaniebo who drove from sligo to fish ennerilley, landed himself a winter smoothie though we hadn't arrived yet so we didn't see it,

and a red crab who came ready frozen. boycie and brock picked me up from work and we headed straight for the beach, i was looking forward to this as i haven't fished here before, after and hour the bait started to freeze up, when your lug feels like a slush puppy you know its cold:shock: fintan landed a nice flounder on the 30 and boycie did the same. after a few fruitless hours we packed up and headed to fish wicklow pier, (sean called it a night confirming his status as the smart one of the group) for a few straps. first cast and i landed a nice cod

well it was a cod at least, the other lads caught a few whiting bits of lobster pots and stones

. weather really wasn't great coddin weather but it was nice to meet up with some new faces.

really enjoyed this bit of fishing although the fish wernt amazing ,, no one blanked well in one venue

the

man didnt have much luck in wicklow,,, seanie hope the feet warmed up

best bit of gear i bought this year were a pair of sundridge hot foot field boots,,, my feet stayed so warm and snug all night,,, well recomended for anyone suffering the feet prob,,,

you should have come with me tonight instead am going to debrocks brayhead cod mark its fishing well at the moment debrock should have known better

then again a smoothy in nov is exelente

do you know what the smoothy was taken on

and didn't you keep reminding those of us who couldn't feel our toes

i think i have 2.50 yoyo's of yours, must have mixed the money up when i spilled the flask

and a 6oz gripper,next time we meet you get a half a pint

roger theres enough eric to around, did you catch anything in kilcoole on tuesday? im heading to my cod spot tomorrow with my tackle caddy anyone wanna come?

Was at erreinreilly last nite myself, hardly any fish but as soon as it hit half 11 loads of decent whiteing around. got a doggied on a big enough whiteing that took the bait, the dog wasent even hooked he just wouldnt let go!!!
