Iain there are better codling in the area. As you know yourself, you just need a rough sea for em.

makes me wonder why people go to the bother to put up reports' when they are met with smart arse replies like some of the ones here.

some people expecting to see fish of 10lb even i know a codling is classed as a fish under 6lb

well i aint surprised as i have never heard of many large cod ever coming from Ireland. i am only a youngfella though

i have still never heard of anyone complain of the poor stocks of LARGE cod.

i suppose i should be more concerned but sadly it is easy to ignore and forget about when you are on the west coast.

thats a nice piece of bait you have on the gaff

heres one taken estimated at 60lb my scales only went to 55lb then read error released it so ian will never know the exact weight but still a lunker
