Report:Well it's been sometime since i put up a report, not that i haven't been fishing i just decided to take a back seat for a while and let others do a bit of typing for the summer monthsI have had some great fish in the weeks that i have not reported,a 14lb huss some nice ray and 8lb pollack to name a few, yesterday i had another good Specimen sized fish a fine fat/wide female Tope measuring 62inches long and nudging around 45lb
This is another specimen i have had that wont be claimed by me, a fish i taught was well worth a mention, all in all a great day out.
Also worth a mention there is still a good few mackerel about with a few nice codling averaging 40 to 45cm showing aswell![]()

I have had a very good year so far dave and there is still a few weeks lefteyesreilly wrote:Well done John,,,some really fine fish there,,,you've had a good year out in the boat
cheers eddie im well aware of the lenght based specimen but this one would have been just under the required lenght but the weight is right i have seen some male specimens based on lenght and if they were mid 30's thats all they were, i have no intentions of going and buying a measure or paying to get my once free certafied scales certafied either the scales still works for me without the piece of paper, it's the likes of us anglers that keep the isfc going in the first place with our submissions so why should we be charged for these things. i have had 4 specimens since last year that have not been submitted because of this, the cost isnt everything to do with it it's the principle but in saying that if i caught what i call an edible specimen like the 5lb 3oz tub gurnard i had i would probably submit it simply because i can bring it to the butchers to have it weighed like i did when my own cert was out of date for the tub:wink:dezzer wrote:Tope now are lenght based specimens, measured flat on a ruler,no need to kill to claim specimen, the way forward,Eddie...
