Portrane Cliffs 21.12.2020

Postby Gonzo » Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:10 pm

When: 21/12/2020
Where: Portrane Cliffs
Duration: 13:00-17:00
High Water: 16:33
Equipment: 15ft surf rod and 11ft bass rod, 3 hook clipdown rigs with 1/0 hooks.
Bait: Black Lug, Sandeel, Mackerel and Squid.
Conditions: Foggy with some drizzle
Result: Brown Crab

Went to Portrane Cliffs to use up left over bait from yesterdays comp, hoping I might get lucky with a codling or something, had a few knocks but no hookups and lost a tonne of tackle. I did catch an edible brown crab funny enough, nowhere near big enough to eat though so I threw him back!
